The PEA Awards ceremony was held last night at the prestigious ‘The Orangery’ at Kensington Palace.

Sue Jueno of ‘My Green Directory’ nominated us for this award and Cindy had the opportunity of meeting her on the evening.    Thank you Sue!

The Awards were created to honour real people that are making a difference, have no agenda to a bottom line, and seek to champion the individuals within companies who demonstrate exceptional leadership and vision in implementing Britain’s ‘greenest’ business initiatives.

Judges included star of BBC2’s Dragons’ Den, Deborah Meaden, Jo Wood (TV personality and organic entrepreneur), Josephine Fairley (co-founder of Green & Black’s), Alex Lambie (founder of Green Helpline) and Tony Juniper (environmental campaigner, author and editor-in-chief of GREEN magazine) and Leo Johnson (Head of Sustainability at PricewaterhouseCoopers).

Congratulations to Juliet Davenport of Good Energy; the overall winner of the PEA Business Awards as well as the winner in her category.  Our congratulations go also to the other winners in their categories.

What Cindy had to say about the event:

It was lovely to be able to accept this award on Howard’s behalf.  The venue is one of my favourite places in London.  It was great fun being interviewed and photographed, albeit incredibly daunting to go up on stage and face the crowds below!  The design of the award is gorgeous and it’s quite heavy!   The food was excellent and the crowd buzzed with excitement and achievement.  I got to meet and shake hands with Deborah Meaden, in itself amazingly daunting (can’t imagine why ) I also got to meet and chat to Sue of ‘My Green Directory’ who nominated Howard for the award and managed a very brief word with Juliet Davenport of Good Energy   A real pleasure to meet people who are focused on ways and means to protect our planet, make a difference in people’s lives and in so doing, making a real difference for future generations.
