B Corp means to me… that all our green eco claims are verified: no greenwashing here. The rigorous auditing of incognito® and all our products took months, it is worth it.
It's a proud, well-deserved moment for team incognito. When we started incognito, our vision wasn’t just to create another insect repellent company; it was to offer people a real, effective and natural shield against mosquitoes, insects and ticks. This way our customers could avoid the ever-increasing diseases carried and spread by insects, especially as many of us are passionate about exploring the world responsibly and safely.
From our humble beginnings, we set out with a mission: to create products that respect our planet and actively contribute to reversing climate change by capturing CO₂. E.g. we use ocean-reclaimed plastic in our roll-on insect repellent packaging, which in turn is fully recyclable. Being a certified B Corp is an honour of recognition for this mission.
It feels amazing to say we’re now officially B Corp Certified along with other cool brands like: Better You, Big Issue, Innocent drinks, Patagonia and Sipsmith gin.
Right from the start, our team worked to ensure that every part of our process, from sourcing to packaging, was as ethical and sustainable as possible. And this B Corp certification is proof that we’re doing just that. It’s not just a label for us; it’s a pledge to keep pushing ourselves and constantly improve our practices.
One thing that excites me about B Corp is its commitment to a holistic approach—environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations all rolled into one. We don’t just want to minimise our environmental footprint; we’re also passionate about supporting social causes, fair practices, and community-building. We’re here to be held accountable to high standards, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In the meantime, we will continue to donate 10% of our profits to charity!
This certification feels like a new chapter, but the work doesn't stop here. Being a B Corp means we’re in it for the long haul. We’re committed to innovation and transparency, and we’re always looking for ways to improve what we do.
Thank you for being part of our journey, and here’s to more adventures that are bug-free as well as planet-friendly!
Howard Carter,
inventor & CEO of incognito®
